Chad E. Piacenti

Biography
Associate Professor Chad Piacenti serves on the faculty of the College of Maritime Operational Warfare at the U.S. Naval War College, where he teaches naval theory and operational planning. He joined the faculty in 2010 as a military professor teaching Joint Military Operations and transitioned to a civilian appointment in 2017 following retirement from active duty. During his 21‑year naval career, he served as an intelligence officer and joint operational planner at the operational and theater levels, including assignments as a Joint Task Force J2 in Kabul and Expeditionary Strike Group N2 for CTF‑51, with deployments across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
